Finding Poems

Literature Online Full-Text Access to English-language creative works,  Choose "texts," then "poetry." Search by keyword, title word, author, publication date or range, gender, nationality, literary movement, period, and more.

Literature Resource Center  Select "Works Search," then "Type of Work: Poem" (pull down), adding other limiters as known/desired: title, author, publication year, century, language, gender, nationality, and ethnicity.

Poetry Foundation - browse poems  Also see search box (upper right).

URSUS  You can search URSUS by author, title or subject to find books of poetry in the URSUS system.  The same search can be repeated in MaineCat by clicking on the "Search MaineCat" link from within URSUS.

  • Keyword "poems" or "poetry,"  perhaps combined with an author's last name.
