The Earth Sciences Resource Guide will show you some of the many resources available at Fogler Library and on the Internet. If you are just starting to think about a topic to research use encyclopedias, handbooks, manuals, and the associations and societies links to find topics and get background information. Also use these resources to discover keywords and subject headings that you can use when searching indexes and databases. Remember that the indexes and databases listed often have specific subject terms that will help you construct a search that will get good results.
