Troubleshooting Access to Online Resources: Mobile Devices

The first line of defense in trouble-shooting access to online resources is to clear your web browser cache, cookies, and history.

APPLE iOS

Safari

To clear cookies and history:

  1. Settings
  2. Safari
  3. Clear History and Website Data

To clear cookies and keep history:

  1. Settings
  2. Safari
  3. Advanced
  4. Website Data
  5. Remove All Website Data

Chrome

  1. Open Chrome 
  2. At top right, tap More
  3. History
  4. Clear browsing data
  5. Make sure there is a teck mark next to "Cookies, site data" and "Cached images and files"
  6. Clear browsing data

ANDROID

The steps to clear the cache, cookies, and browsing history may differ depending on your Android device and your preferred browser app. If the following general approach does not work, please refer to manufacturer instructions. — Latest update 11/7/2022

  1. Open the browser.
  2. More
  3. Settings or Menu
  4. Settings
  5. Privacy & Security

Chrome

  1. Open the browser
  2. At top right More
  3. History
  4. Clear Browsing Data
  5. At the top, select a time range. All time will delete everything
  6. Check boxes next to "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files"
  7. Clear data
