Open Scholarship Services is part of Fogler’s Special Collections and Projects department. The Open Scholarship Services team works with researchers to make research available through open access distribution, helps users understand copyright, and manages the Institutional Repository. Our upcoming GIS Librarian, whom we hope to welcome later this year, will support and make accessible UMS-wide GIS projects; provide expertise on datasets; and direct patrons to UMaine, UMM, UMS, and external resources such as data repositories, map collections, and related geospatial projects.
