Music: Finding Scores

A guide to find both music, and information about music

What are Scores?

Scores are the written notation of music.  We use them to learn a piece, to perform a piece, or to study the techniques a composer used.

How to Find Scores in Fogler

The best way to find scores here at Fogler Library is to search the URSUS Catalog, using the Advanced Search option.

Limit the Material Type to Scores.

If You Still Can't Find It..

Check with us here at Fogler.  Sometimes scores can be part of "Complete Works" sets that we do have, but the particular piece may not show up in URSUS. If we determine that the piece is definitely not available, you can order the score through our Interlibrary Loan service.
