Power Researcher Challenge

Power Researcher Challenge

Welcome to the Power Researcher Challenge!

This Challenge includes tasks designed to help scholars boost their research acumen and optimize tools that are available at their fingertips. Activities are presented as daily "challenges" that researchers might accomplish over the course of one week. However, each activity stands alone and can be completed separately from the others and at a time that is convenient for you.

The first few days focus on advanced approaches to information seeking, and the final two challenges address issues of scholarly integrity.

The University of Maine recognizes that it is located on Marsh Island in the homeland of the Penobscot Nation, where issues of water and territorial rights, and encroachment upon sacred sites, are ongoing. Penobscot homeland is connected to the other Wabanaki Tribal Nations — the Passamaquoddy, Maliseet, and Micmac — through kinship, alliances and diplomacy. The university also recognizes that the Penobscot Nation and the other Wabanaki Tribal Nations are distinct, sovereign, legal and political entities with their own powers of self-governance and self-determination.

Let's get started!
