Level 3 focuses on receiving an advanced level of training in Information Literacy.
In order to complete Level 3, you will select and complete a research project, work with your librarian on this project, and write a reflection about this research process.
The research project is the final step to completing your Micro-Credential in Information Literacy. It can be a project you are working on in one of your classes such as a capstone project, a symposium poster, a senior project, or a substantial scholarly research paper. Whatever project you decide on must require significant research and retrieval of resources.
Minimum Expectations:
Level 3 requires that you work with a librarian to help you to continue to develop and enhance the skills needed to complete your research project. Please work with your librarian to determine the best path forward for your project and a timeline for completion. Make sure you tell the librarian that you're working on this badge.
To find the librarian for your subject area, check Fogler's list of subject specialists.
Once you have completed your research project, you will submit it through the assignment submission on the Level 3 content page.
When you've satisfied the requirements for Level 3, contact the librarian listed on the home page of this guide so they can verify that you have completed the work for this level. Upon successful completion of this level, you will be awarded both the Level 3 Badge and the badge that indicates you've completed all three steps of the Information Literacy Micro-Credential pathway.
