Troubleshooting Access to Online Resources: Mobile Devices

The first line of defense in trouble-shooting access to online resources is to clear your web browser cache, cookies, and history.

The steps to clear the cache, cookies, and browsing history may differ depending on your Android device and your preferred browser app. If the following general approach does not work, please refer to manufacturer instructions. — Latest update 08/03/2018 

 

 

Android

  1. Open the browser.
  2. To the right of the address bar, tap the Hamburger Menu icon
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Advanced
  5. Tap Manage website data
  6. Select All
  7. Tap Clear

APPLE iOS

Safari

  1. Open Safari
  2. Tap the Book icon at the bottom of the screen 
  3. Tap History
  4. Tap Clear
  5. Tap All time
  6. Tap Done

Chrome

  1. Open Chrome 
  2. To the right of the address bar, tap the Hamburger Menu icon
  3. Tap History
  4. Tap Clear Browsing Data
  5. Select Browsing History, Cookies, Site Data and Cashed Images and Files
  6. Tap Clear Browsing Data (NOTE: This action will clear synched data from all devices.)
  7. Confirm Clear Browsing Data
  8. Tap Done
  9. Tap Done, again
